Adequate supports and services are vital to the overall well-being of all individuals in Michigan. People with all types of disabilities are able to successfully transition and live within the community when these services are accessible. It is important that government entities, recreational activities and providers of critical services are available. Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service, Inc. is working to increase the quality and accessibility of these services to individuals with disabilities.
1. Individuals with disabilities will be assured services, including housing, transportation and assistive technology, identified to support them in the community and prevent institutionalization or segregation.
2. Governmental entities and providers of critical services will be accessible and provide needed accommodations.
